Can a Personal Trainer Earn $1,000,000 a Year?

The answer is yes.  Now let's figure out how.

Earning a Million Dollars is Serious Business.  

Let's consider firstly whether it's possible (spoiler alert: it is), and then let's consider whether it's possible for you.  You're going to spend a bit of time on this page to make that determination, but follow my lead and the million dollar answer will start to take shape, provided two variable factors are in place:

1. You are a Qualified Personal Trainer in search of Career Excellence

2. You understand that changing your outcome requires a shift in thought and action, and while I can lay the groundwork, the shift is on you.

There's a video above.  I'll ask you to watch it, but not yet.  First I want to share some thoughts, explain why this is a million dollar presentation, and then provide tools, shortcuts, and insights to give you a leg up.  Is your Spidey Sense tingling?  I hope so.  Something real is about to happen.

Why Do Personal Trainers Buy Lotto Tickets?

 

I’ll answer the question right away. 

Because they believe a windfall, a giant sum of money showing up in their lives, will bring them a new freedom.

I rarely buy Lottery tickets, and when I do its frivolous, a fun entry in a game of chance, kind of like throwing a $100 bill on “black” at the roulette table in Vegas, just with a greater payout.  Why do I shy away?  Primarily because I have long ago realized, I don’t need a “chance” to establish freedom.  That understanding has served me more than any other in the area of business growth.

According to Lottery USA, the odds of winning the Mega Millions jackpot are 1 in 302.6 million.  Not the greatest odds. 

Conversely, if you take advantage of everything I’m about to share with you, I would say your odds of increasing revenues, increasing your level of fulfillment and joy, and increasing your sense of freedom is a near-guarantee.  Earning a million in 2022?  Much depends on you.

I am not discouraging you from playing Lotto.  The money goes to the state for important costs such as education, and if it gives you a bit of a minor adrenaline rush as you consider what you'll do with the money, I see some benefit. 

In fact, I personally know, not one, but two people who won massive jackpots by playing Lotto.  Ed B. and Joe L., two unrelated people I worked with in the fitness/health club field.  Both of them celebrated  life-changing winnings,  Interestingly, both of them were, by nature, gamblers, and had likely invested well over $50,000 in “chance to win” purchases before they hit the windfall.  In order for them to win, a few million people had to lose so that alone makes them rarities.

Even though I’ve seen “winnings” with my own eyes, I’m not compelled to hand the “fill in the boxes” Lotto sheet across the counter.  In line with the statement I made earlier, the one I referred to as the realization that has proven most valuable, I know that my odds of generating a million dollars are far greater when I rely on my own skill set, my energies, my focus, my commitment to better the lives of others, and . . . my MARKETING POWERS. 

Yes, I said powers.  Great marketing skill is nothing short of a Super Power when it comes  to business. 

I use these developed powers (which you can develop as well if you have the right foundation and cover your ears when the “gurus” scream at you to buy social media ads) to generate suspects.  With the right energy output, the suspects become prospects who become clients who become thrilled evangelists for my services.  Each thrilled client becomes a pipeline for new business, for new revenues, and for growth.

A BIT OF PERSONAL HISTORY

At the age of 29, I felt as it my career was solid.  I was earning a living as a Personal Trainer, I owned a home, and I had $17,000 in the bank. 

$17,000.  Period.  That was my “life savings.” 

A few short years later, at the age of 33, I wound up in a lawsuit with a notorious infomercial company who used my image and voice fraudulently, and through the process of draining me via the game of “depositions” and “changed court dates” and a seemingly bottomless pit of legal costs, I wound up $250,000 in debt. 

The case never made it to court.  They were a $33-million company and I wasn’t.  They knew how to play the game and it was a life lesson for me.  By the time the "case" settled, my $17,000 was a memory, I had two mortgages on my house, and the thought of being 1/4 of a million dollars upside down plagued every waking moment.

Negative $250,000 was a scary place to be for someone who believed $17,000 was “savings.”  It cracked open new emotions of fear, worry, and near-panic.

At the age of 35, two years after the legal drain, my business generated 1.2 million dollars.  I didn't win any lottery.  I earned it as as a personal fitness trainer,

I recovered fully from debt, learned my own capabilities were far greater than I ever imagined, and I came to better understand finance as it relates to the entrepreneur. 

You deserve that same understanding.

If you are a personal trainer with rapport skills, a high level of belief in what you do, the proven ability to thrill clients, and a deep desire to grow by bettering the lives of others, know that your best bet for a few million in the bank has more to do with you than with the lottery.

After the shock of my financial condition wore off, I find some inner connection to the word "Justice" and a far more important word, at least as far as mindset is concerned.  The word was "Must."

I MUST overcome this condition.  I MUST learn to earn so I can find a greater sense of financial freedom.  I MUST find a way to pay off every owed dollar and come out with a certainty that I CAN.

I searched.  I studied.  Hard.  I devoured books, visited with mentors, and was committed to master my own business. No longer would my business be limited to "a way to make money by following my fitness passion," it was going to become THE SOURCE OF MY PROSPERITY.

There was one more important MUST.  I must do this ethically.  I was so soured by the unethical tactics of the informercial company that became my nemesis, I determined my approach would be fully grounded in "doing the right thing."

In a state just-shy of what might be considered pure desperation, I sought out gifted marketers with nothing more than a hunger and a belief that successful people would be wiling to share. THE OPPORTUNITY

Take a look at your calendar and for the moment, focus on the date, December 31, 2022. 

Here's what I want you to ask yourself. 

How will life be different, on that date, if you earn $80,000, or $240,000, or a million dollars in that year (you pick the number that lights you up)? 

Let's try another one.

What emotions will you feel, in that moment, when you review your 2022 revenues and see seven digits?

I'm hoping you know me well enough to know this has nothing to do with greed.  It has everything to do with reward.  Actually, I'll add a few words.  It has EVERYTHING to do with the reward you receive for bettering the lives of others.

Viewing, re-viewing, and internalizing the key elements of the video at the top of this page will give you a nice headstart.  Investing in at least two or three of the books I listed and reasing them from cover to cover will increase the odds of you establishing million-dollar marketing power.

The question of "how" is the one that holds people back.  Sure, anyone can write "$1,000,000 as a goal in a journal, but the internal voice that asks, "how will I get there" is often enough to shut people down.
